Lakitia Hall-Wright is a dedicated advocate and accomplished attorney seeking election to the position of District Court Place 3 in Jefferson County Family Court. With a strong background in advocacy,  law, and community service, she brings a wealth of experience and a passion for justice to her campaign.

 

Lakitia's educational journey began at Birmingham-Southern College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Recognizing the importance of furthering her knowledge and skills, she pursued an MBA with a concentration in Health Services from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Building upon her desire to make a difference in the legal field, Lakitia went on to obtain a Juris Doctorate from Miles Law School.

Throughout her career, Lakitia has been actively involved in various legal organizations and boards. She currently serves as the Treasurer for the Alabama Lawyers Association, where she demonstrates her commitment to promoting excellence in the legal profession. Additionally, she fulfills the role of Programs Coordinator for the Black Women Lawyers of Alabama, advocating for the representation and empowerment of underrepresented voices within the legal community.

 

Lakitia's dedication to fostering inclusivity and equal access to justice is evident through her involvement in the Alabama State Bar. She serves on multiple committees, including the Appointed Counsel & Indigent Defense Committee, the Bench & Bar Relations Committee, and the Diversity & Inclusion in the Profession Committee. Through her active participation, she strives to improve the legal system and ensure fair representation for all individuals.

 

Beyond her professional achievements, Lakitia holds certifications that showcase her commitment to serving the community. As a District Court Magistrate, she has developed a comprehensive understanding of the legal system and the importance of upholding justice. Furthermore, her certification as a Guardian ad Litem demonstrates her dedication to advocating for the best interests of children and families in the court system.
